Introduction to family law

Aimed at junior legal staff with less than three years' experience, this introductory course develops delegates’ knowledge and skills, offering an overview of family law and practical guidance on the most common processes and tasks associated with handling family law matters. Attendance at the course will enable you to: • define key terms and concepts relevant to common family law files • identify the legislation, regulations and policies relevant to this area of law • draft divorce applications, financial statements, and basic consent orders and affidavits • manage a selection of difficult situations that may arise in family and domestic violence matters.
