Solicitor advocate course - advanced trial skills

For those who attended the general skills in advocacy course in 2017 or this year, you may be interested in attending this advanced skills in trial advocacy course which is the next level offered by the Australian Advocacy Institute in conjunction with the QLS Ethics and Practice Centre. This intensive, full-day course conducted at the courts is aimed at advocates with some experience in appearing in court. The course looks at the development and refinement of the specific skills involved in the preparation and presentation of persuasive legal argument, based on the assumption that participants will have an understanding of the basic skills in questioning and presenting submissions that were covered at the General Skills level (recommended but not a pre-requisite if the participant already has some advocacy skills). The course cost is subsidised and numbers are strictly limited; register early to secure your place. Candidates should be fully prepared and have read the materials that will be supplied via email the week prior to the course date.

This event is now fully-booked.
